Savannah, Georgia

FFor a relaxing long weekend, I visited Savannah, Georgia, a city filled with Southern charm, history, and vibrant food spots. Here’s my recommended guide to help you plan your trip.

Airport

If you’re flying in, you’ll arrive at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV). It’s a short 20-minute drive to downtown Savannah, making it convenient for travelers.

Transportation

If you plan on staying in downtown Savannah, a rental car is not necessary for your trip. Once you land, you can easily get to downtown Savannah by taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Within downtown Savannah, you are able to walk most places. If something is not within walking distance, Uber and Lyft are easily accessible.

Lodging

I stayed at the Perry Lane Hotel, a boutique gem in the heart of the historic district. The hotel boasts chic, modern rooms and an incredible rooftop bar with sweeping city views. For its central location and upscale vibe, it’s a great choice, especially since they accept Marriott Bonvoy points!
